Trademark design, developed for the international cultural association UNEM Union Monde des Ècrivains Médecins, to identify the literary prize called Hippocrates Pegasus Prize.

The Hippocrates Pegasus UMEM Prize for Literary Merit is intended for doctors writers who have particularly distinguished themselves in the field of literary artistic activity, in the various expressions of literature: poetry, fiction, non-fiction.

The brand concept chosen highlights two founding symbols of the Association: Hippocrates, the first doctor who described his art in treating the body, and not only that, leaving as a testament the ethics collected in the famous oath; and Pegasus, the winged horse with the ability to fly, which symbolizes the strength of poetry that heals the spirit.

The distinctive graphic morphology, which synthesizes the mythological winged horse, employs a modern sign to evoke the typical heraldic style, integrating into the design some characteristic features of a dragon.

Classicism and modernity come together to give voice to new artistic trends without losing continuity with history.

Design del marchio, sviluppato per l’associazione culturale internazionale UNEM Union Mondiale des Ècrivains Médecins, per identificare il premio letterario denominato Hippocrates Pegasus Prize.

Il Premio Hippocrates Pegasus UMEM per Meriti Letterari è destinato a medici scrittori che si siano particolarmente distinti nel campo dell’attività artistica letteraria, nelle varie espressioni della letteratura: poesia, narrativa, saggistica.

Il concept mette in risalto due simboli fondanti dell’Associazione, che raccoglie medici di tutte le parti del mondo uniti dalla comune passione per l’arte della scrittura: la parola Ippocrate – il primo medico che descrisse la sua arte nel curare il corpo e che ha lasciato il testamento etico raccolto nel famoso giuramento – e Pegaso, il cavallo alato che, con la sua capacità di volare, simboleggia la forza della poesia che cura lo spirito.

La particolare morfologia grafica, che sintetizza il mitologico cavallo alato, utilizza un segno moderno per rievocare il tipico stile araldico, integrando nel disegno alcuni tratti caratteristici di un drago.

Classicità e contemporaneità si uniscono per dare voce alle nuove tendenze artistiche senza perdere la continuità con la storia.
